We certainly could use some good Indian and other options.
I see a "Coming Soon - Himalayan Bistro - Serving Indian and Nepalese" banner already hanging in the former "Yoo-Hoo's", with construction underway.
New places to dine: A trio of new restaurants is slated to hopefully open this spring on Centre Spring in West Roxbury. All three restaurants have approvl from West Roxbury Neighborhood Council:
- Na Long has gotten thumbs up to transfer the Cafe le Royal license to open the Phuket Thai Restaurant.
- Dao Thach is leasing 1735 Centre St., formerly Yoo Hoo's. This Himalayan Bistro will feature Indian and Nepali cuisines. The first Nepali restaurant in Massachusetts will also have take out and delivery.
- Manuel Sifnugel wants to open the Masona Grill, a Mediterranean and South American cuisine restaurant at 4-6 Corey St. (formerly the Coffee Break shop and Brookline Carpet). He formerly owned the Claremont Cafe in the South End.
