Dining suggestions for 7 dinners in Montreal, need a couple more...

StevenCinNYC | Jun 22, 201810:01 AM     4

Hi. I've only been to Montreal once before, in the fall of 2016 for my bachelor party. We had some great meals, and now I'm back with my wife.

I've booked Renoir already for Sunday brunch.

Here are the places I've identified for dinner.

My top pick is Toqué! I had a great dinner there with my friends and am eager to return. I've asked our hotel to get us a reservation since they only have 10p the whole week on OpenTable. My other picks based on my prior trip are:
Garde-Manger
Leméac
Le Serpent
Au Pied de Cochon

Of these, we only went to Le Serpent for dinner. We had brunch at Leméac. I really wanted to go to Garde-Manger based on what I read about it, but we didn't get a reservation. I'm waiting to see what day the hotel can get for Toqué! Hopefully, I'll hear today and then book the rest. What other places do you recommend? I'm sensitive to garlic and chili pepper so some cuisines are off limits for me. Is there a great Chinese restaurant in Montreal? Otherwise, we want mostly local cuisine.

Thank you!

Steven
