I visit Chicago about once-twice a year, and always end up at Coco Pazzo Cafe. Once I "had to" sit at the bar, and it was great - the bartender took good care of a weary traveling girl! Time to try something different, although that's the kind of atmosphere I'm looking for. I'll be in town Wednesday night and Thursday night (eating after 8pm).
Last time, I went to Bistro Jo (on a weeknight), and got put at a tiny table along the railings which surround the main seating area, and EVERY SINGLE person who came in to be seated had to brush by me. Plus I was an arm's length from an office group of about eight loud people. Decent food, but a very unpleasant dining-alone experience.
Will be staying on N. Michigan and working over on N.Huron. Anything within walking distance of either would be particuarly useful. Thanks in advance!
