Based upon two recommendations from this board, I tried Apsara on Public St. It was difficult to find but well worth the trip. The eggplant dish on the lunch menu was super. The sauce was a mixture of hoisin and other sauces that had a slightly sweet but utterly delicious taste. We also shared the shrimp lemongrass soup which contained okra or zucchini, I'm not sure, but it,too, was delicious.
Contrarily, I went to the Atwater Grill where I had what was passed off for chicken cacciatore. The sauce was truly bad, consisting of what I deemed to be 90% tomato paste. It is not worth attesting further to the poor meal.
