dining and drinking in Astoria,Oregon--a report

dukedee | Nov 12, 200005:27 PM

this faded fishing town does have a new restaurant-Jonathans Oyster House at llth st and Marine Dr. 503-325-7720.a decent alternative to the $20 fried seafood dinners at The Ship Inn on 2nd St. a block up the street from Jonathans is the best bar in town-Merry Time Lounge at 10th and Marine Dr. Josephsons Smoke House no longer sells shark and is very expensive.A far better source is Debbie D's Jerky and Sausage Factory on hiway 101 a mile north of Tillamook, Ore.
