Dining With Andre

My wife and I always saw this place and thought it looked neat but never got a chance to try it until last night. It is a self described "provencal takerie", only food to go is prepared. On her way home from work she stopped in and picked up some "savories", as half the main dishes on the menu were not available. I had very high hopes for this novel liitle place, but it was a let down. The onion tart was great, but stuffed mushrooms and tuna filled tomatoes were total disasters. Shoulda just gone to the store and cooked the food myself (I'm beginning to feel that way a lot these days). Desserts were pretty good-a fruit tart and pot de creme competently made but not special.

Anyone else have any impressions of this place? At this point I won't be trying it again, unless someone advises me otherwise.

the obligatory Peace and Grub

ps-the place is off fremont 1 block south of mission in s. pasadena
