Amazing comfort food in a great atmosphere that's ridiculously cheap. I lived upstairs from this place until last month and shed a tear as it faded away in my rear view mirror. Great mac-n-cheese, wings, and an awesome grilled veggie goat cheese sandwich on 7 grain bread. They also have a good beer selection and the atmosphere is great--sort of industrial chic, lots of brick and stainless steel. It's a great hybrid of downtown and Spanish Harlem. They just started doing Tuesday night jazz. It's unlike any other place in East Harlem. The only drawback is the service, which is extremely friendly but a bit clueless. It seems like they can't keep good help. Some nights you'll get everything in 5 minutes, other nights you wait twenty minutes for a cup of coffee. It's on Lex and 100th. This place is the future of the 'hood. I miss you, Dinerbar.
