Dined at A16 recently...

Hey hounds, I recently got to have dinner at A16.

First off I've got to say that the bread they serve is ADDICTIVE (perfectly crusty with a soft, doughy, chewy interior). I asked where they get their bread and not surprisingly, our server told us we weren't the first that night to ask this. I was told they they formulated their own recipe and had Bay Bread bake it. Needless to say, I ate more bread than I should've and I was getting full before our appetizer arrived.

For our first course we had the burrata...it lived up to all the buzz. I wanted more of this creamy, light, fluffy cheezy goodness! I thought the accompanying crostini was a bit too hard to pair with the cheese...but never fear, I ate it with more of that soft chewy complimentary bread. haha...=X

For our main we tried the pizza margherita--definitely good (especially the crust!), but I'm personally more of a Chicago deep dish kinda girl. My friend, who LOVES thin crust pizzas raved about it. The only thing was I thought the main part of the crust was too thin to support the toppings. It became kinda soggy as time passed. Maybe next time I'll also try the other pizzas...

We also ordered the slow roasted pork and chose the cannelini beans as our side. The pork was fork tender and delicious! Usually I love beans, but there was something off in their flavor that I couldn't pinpoint. I still ate them nevertheless bc well...I love beans.

Then I munched on more of that bread to finish.

I was way too full for dessert, but they sounded good...so hopefully on my next visit I'll know to TRY and not ask for that 2nd basket of bread.
