Din Tai Fung - a shortey review

finally tried it and it is pretty darn good though i didn't order the pork/crab dumplings. got the fish ones and the chicken ones both pretty good, i think the chicken ones were a tad more flavorful, i like the fact that they do patt a design onto the dumplings and all the dumplings were swell with a dab or so of soy sauce. a little pricier than what one would hope for. nice, efficent service, and seems to have caught on with the general populace, this is place does not feel at all like a dirty hole-in the wall ethnic joint but rather very, clean, brightly lit, nicely designed restaruant, actually sort of a little too much so, as opposed to places like dumpling house and the like, next off probably du,mpling 10053 for some rock cod dumplings. also, dtf is too much off a drive from the hollywood area or thereabouts, wish there was a dumpling joint closer to home.
