No Dim Sum West Of The 405?

Assuming that Xino closed down as scheduled it looks like you can't get dim sum west of the San Diego Freeway right now in light of The Palace, on Wilshire and Barrington, closing down for at least a temporary period. I didn't know that The Palace was closed for remodeling until I saw the "The Palace re-opening soon" banners outside the premises. That sign wasn't there a week ago, so perhaps that's their announcement of their closing. I took a peek inside and it was dark, and things were clearly messed up, so this could be a long term thing. Indeed, if they didn't have the two large banners outside, but merely the paper sign on the door that they were remodeling the premises, I would have guessed they were gone. This really it makes it desperation time for dim sum in the Westside. The only choice I can think of is Bao on Beverly Blvd., which isn't half bad, but is much more expensive than most of us are used to paying for dim sum.
