Dim Sum Recs in SGV for Friday lunch

Jess | Sep 12, 200501:59 PM

I’m taking my parents out to the SGV on Friday – late morning/noon – and decided that I would take them to Fosselman’s for the first time. Since they never go to the area, I also thought I would take them for dim sum.

I usually go to NBC Seafood, because everything is pretty good, there is a nice variety in choices, and it is not expensive. I know a lot of people here prefer Sea Harbour, Mission 261, or Din Tai Fung, and would like to know if we should consider those restaurants or any others. It also would help if people suggest what we might order.

A few other considerations. We would like to avoid a long wait and I would like to keep the cost down. Also, we like variety, so I don’t want to choose a place that may do one type of dumpling incredibly well, but not have a lot of other excellent choices. Finally, it would be helpful if the recommendation is within a 10-15 minute drive of Fosselman’s in normal traffic.
