Dropped by for lunch today after reading all the good reviews on this site. Maybe it was because my expectations were so high, but I was totally underwhelmed.
Mostly disappointed in the lack of variety (lots of standard sui mai, har gow, etc) and to my taste, the food was just ok. Didn't even come close to the top tier dim sum places in the area (Ton Kiang, the OLD Yank Sing, the closed HKFG in Palo Alto) or even the next tier (the place on Villa in Mt View???? or even Mings -- ok, I know Mings doesn't quite "get" dim sum, but they serve, it seems , at least twice as many items and also have a nice selection of small chow fun plates).
I also missed the lack of contrasting dishes to the noodles and dumplings -- eg it would have been nice to have had some fried rolls of some type.
Am I missing something? thanks .... doc
