This is an informational post for anybody looking for dim sum in the city of Oxnard, and not necessarily a recommendation. City Buffet in the Channel Islands Business Park (sometimes known as Liu City Buffet) has a small selection of dim sum--siu mai, a couple types of buns, and extremely surprising, lotus leaf wrapped purple sticky rice. While I wouldn't recommend the dim sum (you can always get the real stuff at Peking Garden in Camarillo), there is one entree that does warrant a mention. They make these six inch long fish rolls, lightly battered and drizzled in sweet and sour sauce. Very reminiscent of the sweet and sour fish they have sometimes at West Coast Seafood. One other good thing to say is that this has probably the best ambiance I've seen at a Chinese buffet, for whatever that's worth (or means). Nice varnished wooden tables, and similar wood panels throughout. Street address is 1600 Ives Ave.
