I went today with some friends, very much looking forward to it as not so happy with China Pearl or He La Moon lately.
I give this place very high marks. Some standouts included
Shrimp Dumpling in soup. I can't recall the listing on the menu for this, but it is a large dumpling in a bowl with broth. The broth was excellent, with a nice chicken base and some ham for added flavor, delicate and perfectly done. The dumpling was also delicious. This was memorable and worth a trip alone.
Xiao Long Bao, we had the plain pork version. Excellent! Perfectly cooked, the skins delicate but holding together nicely, the soup interestingly seemed to pool at the bottom of the dumpling rather than the top, which made it easier not to spill that lovely stuff. Nicely spiced stuffing.
Crystal Dumplings (kind of like har gau but with cilantro added), Har Gau, Sichuan Tripe, Pork in Bean Curd Skin, all done very well, these close in quality to those at the larger dim sum houses I think, but prepared to order.
Radish cake stir fried in XO sauce with chives and bean sprouts. Delicious, though I wish the radish cakes were a little firmer.
........ and there are many more items on the menu. If you're looking to refresh your dim sum experience, try this place.
