Today, Mother's Day, I was taken to East Lake in Flushing. I've been there a number of times and was quite skeptical about how good it could be on such a busy day.
Mother's day is not usually a good time to dine out, but this was awesome! I was so pleasantly surprised. As busy as it was, the carts were rolling fast and furious with so much beautiful dim sum to choose from. The place was packed, and for most of our time there we were the only non-Asians present.
Everything we had was fresh and delicious. We tend to stay away from most of the fried stuff and stick to the steamed goodies. We find we fill up slower so we can sample more stuff.
This place never fails to please.
