Kudos and a big thank you to those who recommended The Sea Harbor Restaurant in Rosemead for a dim sum lunch last Friday. It was both delicious and memorable! We were the only Caucasians there and knew the minute we walked in the door that this restaurant could be any one of many in Hong Kong based on its clientele, decor and authenticity. We ordered seven items and they were delivered as they came out of the kitchen...in no particular order. It was interesting to watch those at a table for eight seated next to us, who were served a four-course luncheon with the entree prepared tableside. We did not recognize a single dish they were served...tee hee. A fellow chowhound mentioned in a post recommending The Sea Harbor that it was pricey, so we had a small wager going prior to the presentation of the check. I guesstimated the damages would come to about $60, my friend said $30. The loser would pay for admission the next day to The Ronald Reagan Library. Well, I lost. The tab totalled a mere $22 before tip. I gladly paid the $7 a head library admission Saturday in Simi Valley. That, too, was an experience I'll never forget, with many of the tributes from the recent services still on display. Thanx again for all the help. Chowhounds rule!!
