Dim Sum King (Sunday 11/13)

Went to Dim Sum King in Daly City (Skyline Shopping Plaza) on Sunday for lunch. It was crowded and the two of us had to wait for 30 minutes. We ordered green onion pancake, salt and pepper calamari, shrimp dumplings, vegetable dumplings, dried scallop dumplings, chinese broccoli, and rice noodle roll with shrimp. (if you noticed that nothing we ordered contained the requisite pork, it's because the dining partner has an aversion to pork) The green onion pancake is what it is...fine but probably wouldn't order atain. S&P Calamari was poor....too much breading and more like something you'd get at red lobster. (yuet lee's version just kiils it). The dumplings were all good. The vegetable ones had a green wrapper. The shrimp were loaded with shrimp. And the scallop were nice and fishy tasting. The chinese broccoli was great. And the rice noodle roll was very good. Lots of big shrimp in it, and very soft noodle (almost too soft though). Everything was fresh. The tea was good. And it was cheap. $31 with tax and tip for all of that.
