dim sum etiquette question/China Pearl

ErstwhileEditor | Apr 21, 2004 08:16 AM

My daughter and I ended up having dim sum at China Pearl (in Chinatown) yesterday. Nothing new to report, but we were not seated in the main room, and we never did see some of the items we really wanted (esp. egg tarts), and the char siu bau finally came when we were just about to leave. I had to think these things were available out in the main area. I started wondering whether people ever just pick up their cards and track down what they want? Is that the least bit acceptable?

I guess the good news is that we ate less (and spent less), but it was a bit disappointing.
