I live on the westside and have only made it as far as dowtown for dim sum. I have long been meaning to trek to the SGV for what is uniformly considered the best dim sum on this board, until a recent post about Capital got me thinking. The post had a link to a J Gold article describing a number of dishes.
My question to you - are the SGV places best because they have the best rendition of dumplings, buns, fried seafood goodies and rice noodles, or are they best because they serve dishes made of feet, tripe, tendons, and other innards. I love the former and am not ready at this point to try the latter, so I'm curious whether the trek out east is worthwhile for a more cautious eater than perhaps some out there.
Thanks for your assistance, and if there is an SGV place that rocks dumplings, buns, and noodles, please let me know!
