I have found out that the dim sum chef of recently closed Pacific Garden now is working at New Shanghai.
I went there yesterday. It is now owned by a person who also runs one of the biggest travel agencies in Boston. They still use the Hong Kong style of "place order and food be delivered to your table" system.
The chef still shows higher level of dim sum skill when compared to other restaurants. However, some of the food is not as fresh as in Pacific Garden. It might be because they just started weekend dim sum two weeks ago and not too many people know about it.
The waiters, although you can tell they are rookie, seem more hardworking than those in Pacific Garden. The thing I don't like is you have to go to Hudson street which is pretty filty.
