Dim Sum and Cambodian in the valley?

nja | Sep 2, 2003 05:47 PM

Hi folks,

I'm an SF (and former LA) hound seeking some tips for a friend that lives in Van Nuys and works in Pasadena. I introduced him to dim sum and Cambodian cuisine this weekend (at Harbor Village and Angkor Borei, respectively) and he's now aching to find similar places in L.A. I've searched the boards and found info on the Chinatown and Monterrey Park dim sum houses (e.g., Ocean Star, Empress Pavilion, NBC), and on the Long Beach Cambodian scene (have any star restaurants emerged yet?).

Anyone have any additional places they recommend for those two cuisines, especially in the Valley, Pasadena, and points in between?
