I'm reluctant to divulge what may well be a secret gem
but here goes...Hunan Cafe, Rte 1 in Riverside... Old
Greenwhich/Stamford, Conn for DIM SUM on Sat. & Sun.
Always excellent, distinctive and tasty. Everything
doesn't taste like everything else. Some of the special
orders are exceptional: baby clams in blacl bean sauce,
fried squid in salt, pepper, garlic and scallion & Hong
Kong pork chops! Beware anything that looks like it's
been on the cart too long and avoid the scallop and
mayonaise thing. Overall selection slightly above the
standard dim sum fare. Haven't tried them for Chinese
other than Dim Sum...I understand the Dim Sum chef is
brought in from Chinatown exclusively for that purpose.
Anybody got any other regional Dim Sum hits?
