Take out dim sum

We have had requests for places to buy misc. food item in the South Bay. Yesterday I want something light since I am in the process of overeating. So I stop a the local Chinese Fast Food joint.

Specialty Fast Food
1645 Flinkinger Ave
San Jose, CA

I normally pick noodles and one or two meat items for lunch. The cost is about 4.00 for 2 items plus rice or 2.70 for 1 item plus rice for lunch.

I wanted something else for a change of pace.

I order a order of har gow (shrimp dumpling) 1.79, sei mei (pork dumpling) 1.39 and shark fin dumplings 1.39. They were cooked to order. I am sure that they do not have a dim sum chef in the back. I have recent found a lot of fast food places serving dim sum. There must be place that sell ready made dim sum for sale.

I found thesse dim sum to be of course fresh and hot, but very large in size. They were 50% larger than the one you find in teahouses. As for taste and presentation they do not match the ones you get at a teahouse. But then you are paying about ½ price. The one draw back is I had to wait ten minutes while they cook the dim sum. I may want to order ahead next time.

They also have a dine in special. Pick any three items from a list and for 14.99 you get free rice. This looks like it would feel 3 to 4 people.
