Does anyone know where to get these locally? I've been fond of them since visiting Digby, Nova Scotia. They're a nice meaty texture and a relatively strong flavor...not the bland stuff you can buy from local markets. They're amazing tasting, especially when fresh. You can even bury them in a seafood alfredo recipe and the taste comes through.
I had them at Skipjacks today, but they said we wouldn't be able to get them directly from their distributor. Their broiled rendition was relatively bland, so I'm not sure if it was their recipe or the scallops being not quite as fresh as they could be :-)
