Died And Went to Chowhound Heaven...Craigie on Main Tasting

mbasnack | Apr 5, 201001:13 PM     6

Went to CoM on Saturday night and had the 6 course tasting menu (with two amuse bouche(s?). The first tasting menu I've done (training for Bouchon in Vegas in two weeks) and it - without a doubt- was the most fantastic dining experience I've ever had. The service from entry to departure was spot on. Our server (Emily) was the perfect combo of helpful/attentive and keeping her distance so we could have uninteruppted conversation. Around course 5 Chef Tony Maws came over to personally present the dish and thank us for coming. I took pictures and they don't do the dishes justice. Dishes included squid noodles, pork belly, sweetbreads, veal tenderloin, mackerel pate...and on and on...

If I could somehow afford the $300 price tag (with cocktails, coffee and tip) I would fast all week for it...Love, love, loved it.

Any other tasting menus in town that rival this?
