DiBruno's expansion open

Bride of the Juggler | Jun 27, 2006 12:14 PM

The new expansion of DiBruno's is open. It is a butcher and fresh seafood shop on 18th. The back of the store opens right into regular DiBruno's, so it's like one big L-shaped store now. I was most interested in the fish selection, to see if it could lure me away from Reading Terminal. The fish looked good, and was a bit pricey, at $19.99 for wild sockeye salmon, vs. $15.99 a lb last time I was at Reading Terminal. There was not a very large selection (smaller than Whole Foods), but they had some interesting stuff, like whole pompano. I would guess I'll be getting stuff from there occasionally because of the convenience factor. I also think this will be good for Sue's Produce to have this entrance leading people back to 18th. Thank you.
