Ok, I know that people have been disagreeing on this place all over these boards. I looked up a couple reviews yesterday before I went last night. I actually ended up going to the place with a slight bit of trepidation.

I had a wonderful dinner. Maybe it was what I ordered?? I had the chicken fried chicken livers to start. I have never had chicken livers before. I don't even really know why I ordered them. They just sounded different. They were amazing!! The sauce was divine and addictive. The chicken livers were perfectly crisp and had a light sweet sauce and caramelized onions. My friends at the table had the tiger shrimp and the calamari. Both were very good, but my appetizer won out hands down. I started dipping anything in that sauce, calamari, shrimp, you name it.

I then had the filet, which was excellent. No complaint about that, but I tried some of my friends venison and was jealous I didn't order that. I can't comment on the meatloaf. My other friend didn't even let us try a bite of it. We were only allowed to get forkfuls of the home made maccaroni which was delicious. It completely blows Jasper's out of the water.

For dessert, I shared the candied apple creme brulee. I thought it was very good. Not watery at all like some have complained. Nice and firm. Granted, I didn't try the actual apple because I was stuffed and it just looked too pretty to break.

One comment was that they didn't have our first choice of wine on the wine list and had to dig out our second choice. Turns out they only had a couple of bottles of that left. We had to have a third choice in our back pocket just in case.

Overall, I would highly suggest this restaurant to other and I will be going back again!!
