Devlins Pub, Somerville-Cheap and a pleasant surprise

Had a burger at Devlins Pub on Highland Ave, close to City Hall in Somerville, Friday night. I've lived close by for past 10 years but never ventured in when it was known as Virgies. Just looked too much like a dive and with so many choices in Somerville I never even considered this place. About a year ago noticed the new Devlin name, but still didn't try it. Only did so Friday because they were a featured destination on my Amex/Delta Skymiles Dining award (20 miles/dollar spent). A very tasty burger special (actually cooked to medium), a very lean corned beef sandwich, 4 beers, all for $19. The decor screams the '70's but comfortable in that "local" kind of way. If you like pub fare you may be surprised as well. Am I the only one that has tried Devlin's?
