I think I have lost my mind. I am hosting my first family holiday dinner and i wanted to be ambitious....the recipe looks divine but is it possible to do it for 12 AND make most of it ahead of time? Obviously the leeks can be done ahead of time, but can i bread the chicken before hand and then after church pop it in the oven? Do you think its tacky to serve bone in chicken to such a large group when most of them have grown up on boneless skinless breasts???
Also, since 4 of them are under 12, I am not going to use alcohol. The recipe calls for vermouth and a dry white. Can I sub apple juice w. lemon and white grape juice respectively?
Finally, my sides are a little crazy...
i was thinking deviled eggs
a nice salad
another veggie since it IS easter ...????
thankfully, i am going to delegate:
Is this main too ambitious / impractical for a larger group?? Please hounds help me make an impressive cooking debut!
