Detroit: Dally in the Alley

Colin | Sep 8, 2001 12:11 AM

Tomorrow - wait, today, I guess - is the Dally in the Alley, up near Wayne State. They close off some streets and it's a food, music, and art festival all day (11 am - 11 pm).

At least, that's what I was told tonight. I'm going tomorrow to see if it's all that it's promised to be. :)

Also:
Westport Inn, on Mack, in Grosse Pointe, turned out to be a pretty decent "hearty-fare" meal. It wasn't exquisite or perfect, but it was some excellent comfort food. Fish and chips were highly recommended, as was the hot turkey plate.

And finally:
Who knew that Hamtramck had a small Indian population, including a grocery store and restaurant off Caniff? HEAVEN.
