dessert in Shanghai - question/help!!!

Just got back from Shanghai, where I ate an incredible treat which is still haunting me. It is about two bites big - a deep fried, crunchy cornmeal outside with a warm, slightly sweet custard inside. I NEED to know what this is - I NEED to know either where to buy this in New York or how to make it myself.

Please please please help me if you can!
