Dessert Help

We're invited to a friend's house on Sunday for a barbecue. I volunteered to bring dessert. It's only 4 adults and 4 kids, so I was thinking something easy like brownies. The only problem is that before going to their house, we are meeting them at a park nearby and we will probably be there for about 2-3 hours. I will have to leave the dessert in the car. It's supposed to be around 80 degrees. Not so good for brownies.

I was thinking that if I make them tonight and freeze them, I could then take them with me straight out of the freezer and leave them and they would be okay by the time we got back to our friend's house. Or maybe this is a dumb idea. The other option is that I can bring ice packs and keep the brownies on ice. I don't have a cooler, but I suppose I could go buy one today if I had to. Or I can just call my friend and tell her that I'm not bringing dessert (but I would hate to do that).

Any thoughts on how I can manage to bring something that will survive sitting in the car? Thanks!
