Help Design the Perfect Evening - Price is no object...

The boyfriend and I are *very* close to signing a contract that will essentially ensure our financial stability <hoorah!> On that night, I have been told I can have the night of my dreams; cocktails, dinner, wine, dancing, whatever...

Obviously, the French Laundry would be a great choice, but I will be constricted to being able to pick something last-minute. It might be next week or the week after that. I have dined at Manresa but don't want to have to worry about transportation. This will be a San Francisco-centric evening.

My first thought was starting with cocktails at the Top of the Mark.

Then, where to dinner? Ritz? Danko? Boulevard?

I would like a place where a decent wine pairing of European wines (I truly am tired of California wines, having worked too long in the wine industry). A good, attentive sommelier is essential.

Lastly, is there a special place to end an evening? Jazz, ambience, a nice hotel <grin>?
