Coming to Denver for the first time since the late 1970's. I will be going to a meeting at the convention center. We will be staying at around 22nd and Glenarm Place (I now see it is close to Five Points - hoping some things have changed).
I will need lunches close by the convention center and will eat most things. For dinner, we would like some nice places to eat at. Again, we will eat any cuisine but some of my favorite places are the New American cuisine. My wife is a carnivore. A decent wine list or lots of draft beer choices are definite pluses. We are planning a visit to Barolo Grill in Cherry Creek unless the naysayers are overwhelming. By the way, is corkage allowed in Colorado?
In the (very) old days, we would eat at Leonardi's for "cannolis" which were really calzones (I think it was sort of/kind of somewhat near Wahington Park), McFann's on Capitol Hill for prime rib sandwiches (a poor man's prime rib dinner) and the Satire for beer, Mexican food, beer and some more beer. No money but pretty good times.
Thanks for the help. I try to report back.
