Demeyere Apollo or Chantal Stainless Steel Problems

Tinkerbell | Feb 19, 201509:15 AM     6

I have the older Chantal tea kettles. They are great. I wanted a stainless steel and after reading all the reviews on the Chantal ones 1.8 quart, I was disappointed. The reviews are mostly all one star and few in 3, 4 stars up to the 5 stars and they are hundred dollars. I tried to then find an Demeyere Apollo tea kettle stainless. They are no longer available. Warranty on them was 30 years. These two companies use to have the best tea kettles and they are no longer manufacturing a great tea kettle. I need to find one that will last, without seam at the bottom edge, stainless interior and if can not find that then durable not painted inside or plastic parts within. I hope someone can tell me where I can buy older seconds of either of the discontinued ones above if possible as it seems I might be better off getting a used one. Or does anyone recommend a great stainless tea kettle that works, does not break and lasts.
