dem bones dem bones.... for chix stock

So I've accumulated a bunch of chicken parts in my freezer, and am ready to make home made shicken stock this weekend. A couple of recipies have said to roast the bones....do I take off the skin and what little meat is on the wings and roast , or do I leave them whole ????
