I'm still surprised at the low prices and dignified food here.
once again, their veggie/lentil soup was outstanding, a veritable salad bowl of firm veggies in an understated, low-salt broth.
the rosemary grilled shrimp (on a rosemary-stem skewer) with sauteed veggies was outsanding, and refreshijng that it was not served atop the predictable bed of pasta. $12-$13.
veal ravioli in rich tomato sauce was excellent for $9, the sauce a puree of tomate with a kiss of cream added.
creme brulee was wonderful, and we took some nice biscotti home in a addition to rich macaroons and almond cookies.
with just a husband and wife combo waiting on tables and chatting with customers, dining can be a slow process at times, but well worth it. dinner for two, not counting teh baked goods, was about $40 after tip.
