I've been eating moussaka at this place for years. Now the bartender tells me that someone named Rachel Ray on food tv raves about the moussaka. With good cause. Its not the familiar tangy, bechamel-laden Greek version. Its the owner's Egyptian mother's recipe. And its smooth, with lots of creamy meat and sauce and chick peas and other middle eastern stuff. Its just what you want while listening to jazz and sipping shiraz at 3:00 am (the kitchen - which produces a full array of middle eastern dishes - is open to 3:00 AM!) The moussaka really is great. It comes with long grain rice pilaf and al dente veggies (carrots, cabbage, zuchini, broccoli).
