Delfina..whats the big deal?

Mil Mascaras | Nov 28, 2005 09:12 PM

My wife and ate at Delfina last night for the first time. We had a 7 pm reservation and we were seated promptly. Although the place is old news on this board I felt I had to add my opinions. We ordered the grilled sardines crostini, romaine salad with groganzola vinagarette, ravioli pasta stuffed with short rib meat and the chocolate cake.
I found the food dissapointing considering the hype, I've eaten better salads at Chow, and I have had comparable pasta at Pasta Pomodoro, not to mention that the portions are tiny. Although it was not a horrible experience, I would not go through the trouble(parking..reservations) to eat there again, the place is totally overrated.
The service was good by the way.

I did enjoy Pizzeria Delfina when I ate there a while back, ironic that the salad and appetizers I had at the Pizzeria were more impressive than those at the main restaurant.

Peace,
Mil Mascaras(el 1000% guapo).
