I bought two 1lb. pkgs of Foster Farms Organic ground turkey and froze them both in the original packaging. Yesterday I took out of freezer for about an hour or so, then placed in refrigerator overnight. Today I went to cook a pot of chili and the turkey was slightly frozen in the center, but had edges that were almost mushy. I browned it and added the chili ingredients, but it does have an 'off' flavor to it. I don't know if its just the Foster Farms brand, or if the turkey is in fact bad. I would hate to throw this big pot out, but on the other hand making everyone in the house ill is not on the menu either ;)
