Decent, pretty inexpensive sit-down restaurant in Jewish LA

I live here, but I'm having a difficult time identifying any restaurants for my mom, who's flying in, to take us, my sister's kid at UCLA (from CT), and her sister and family from Phoenix. For milchigs, I like Milk & Honey, but it may be a touch too expensive. For fleishigs, I think everything is pretty expensive sit-down or reasonably inexensive hole-in-the-wall. Fish Grill is good, but been there, done that. And though we live in the Valley, it's out for this shindig. Last year I would've just put the tables together at Smokin'! (though in the Valley, since it was my place). This year, it's a lot more trouble identifying a place. So any suggestions would be helpful, now that you know the parameters.
