Decent pickles in the US? None of that hyper-dilled or crazy sweet stuff, please.

Ugh. Bought a jar of Vlasic "bread & butter" pickles (NO SUGAR ADDED!!), b/c I don't like kosher dill pickles -- too heavy on the dill, and nothing like pickles you get in the homeland. You know, tart, maybe a touch of sweetness, with herbs and mustard seeds, etc.

I've yet to find a commercial pickle I like.

Oh, and the "no sugar added" pickles? Cloyingly sweet. Blech.

And don't tell me to pickle my own, I don't live in Portland :-P
