I'm a little late to be posting, but on the off-chance someone can recommend some must-dos, even if just a general food type (ie Jewish deli, or pizza), I'd be grateful!
DH and I are headed to our babymoon on Friday Dec. 1-leaving Tuesday Dec. 5. We've never been to NYC, and I don't expect to do it all in one bite. I'm sure there will be many return trips, so I want to first and foremost take advantage of being there at Christmastime.
We arrive evening Friday and are headed to Westchester the first night, so I'm not sure if you have any recommendations specific to that.
We're hoping to see a couple shows, and I don't know the best plans for food around that (before, after, stay in the area or leave?)
I've heard there are lots of great bars, even Christmas bars. Unfortunately I will not be partaking this trip, but if you happen to know of a good mocktail! Also, I cannot ice skate this time, but I did read some places overlook the rinks.
I don't mind getting off the beaten path, walking, and getting into the different Burroughs. I know this is all very vague, but at this point in time I thought I'd be better off asking the question in this way than so specific when I'm not really sure what we're looking for.
I also don't mind doing the necessary-NYC-Christmassy things as long as they are still quaint and worthwhile.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated, vague as it may be.
(PS, we're staying right near Rockefeller Plaza)
