Dearth of good NYC dim sum

I have become disillusioned with the quality of dim sum in Manhattan. I've been frequenting Golden Unicorn, Nice Restaurant, Jing Fong, and the old 20 Mott for some time now, but every experience has just been blah. Maybe I am going to the wrong places.

I just had another great experience at Dragon Dynasty in Toronto that put all the aforementioned restaurants to shame. One dish almost had me proposing to my girlfriend. Everything was fluffier, flakier, and more intense than anything I have ever had in New York City.

I have come to the conclusion that I have to go to Queens or New Jersey to get good dim sum. Any recommendations for dim sum? Or any Hong Kong style banquet restaurants for that matter?
