A few years back as I was culling the cookware herd, boxing up the tried & true Revereware (IMHO excellent stuff to learn on & start with)... Better Half pulls out a lid & skillet insisting there is no way I'm getting rid of that - "it's the only good pan for making mom's ham & potatoes!" (Understand please, by this point in my batterie building there must have been 10 other skillets and fry pans hanging, stainless, annodized, copper...)
My father didn't raise a total fool - "yes dear" and back on the pot rack it went. See also the cheap stamped serated knife from a Walmart set ("the ONLY KNIFE good for slicing bread!")
I'm mostly master of my man cave kitchen (I tell myself and chuckle) but concessions must at times be made. I'm curious, Hounds, what kitchenalia or cookware are you holding on to by virtue of spousal decree?
