What is the deal with VERDURA

Jona | Feb 5, 200611:44 AM     4

I have gone to this restaurant on and off over the years and have seen a steady decline where last nights dining will be my last. Ah, the good old days, I remember such great pastas, rissottos, truffles, foie and oh my. They went from classy to trashy. Last time I was their they had fried calamari. One of my favorite things but a totaly guilty pleasure. I order it at places that you know nothing else will be any good (except JA), so might as well have that. It was awful. Rubber and a sour tomato sauce ugh...

As for last night...I will make it quick as they do not deserve any more attention. Some how my pizza was both soggy and too cripy to eat easily. The toppings where anchovies and stuff..Lackluster. Nice salad, entrees where a gnocchi, huge and gummy and a Whole fish, okay fish -- really reused almost refrieded beans, no punch if you know what I mean. We left before dessert fearing what might come next and the club next store was getting a little annoying. How do charge 28 bucks for a tenderloin when some kid across the way is in a tank top swearing and drinking heiniken.

Sorry to be such a nay sayier, but I know there are capable of more and their not resecent down fall is a big upset to people wanting to dine well in the Berkshires.
