How do you deal with table surfers?

J and V | Mar 8, 201611:40 AM

Out for coffee this morning at Beaucoup Bakery on Fir and as is so common in these wired times, 3 of 4 tables occupied by peopoe who were obviously set up for the morning with computers, workbooks, etc. Not a sign of a purchase when we arrived although I assume something had been consumed earlier. Wondering how others deal with these types--I always worry about approaching them personally (in terms of verbal confrontation, I am not worried physically) but have never found the staff particularly interested in dealing with this either. In this instance, while we had our coffee and almond croissant, at least 2 parties of 2 or 3 people came, looked at the situation, and left because there was no seating. Interested to hear others experiences and suggestions.
