We live very close and would love to love Mixto - but they make it so hard. The place itself is beautiful, and the menu seems great. But service is inconsistent and the quality of the food seems mediocre. The fried appetizers are too often interchangeable in flavor. Ropa vieja too salty (cuba libre, much better). We tried the brunch this weekend and the egg/ham sandwich on yummy cuban bread was studded with a spare few cubes of ham. Shame.
