A friend and I stopped in Greenfield on the way home from SF thanks to Chowhound. I had seen a post about La Fogata, and I was falling asleep on 101, so we decided just to check out Greenfield and get a snack. Well, I never knew there was an actual TOWN there, so imagine my surprise when I drove down blocks of storefronts that were lively and teeming with people at 8pm on a Sunday evening! We ended up snacking at some cafe/diner sort of place, but boy, there looked to be dozens of restaurants to try there!
So, does anyone know of the good eats in Greenfield, and does anyone know where Greenfield came from? I mean, many of the buildings looked quite new. Where did the money come from?
