How do you deal with the compulsive need for everyone to like your food?

Whenever I make something and bring it to a huge gathering, I find myself feeling upset if one person out of 6-8 people did not like it. I've been battling with this problem ever since I started baking at the age of 14, and I still do now that I'm somewhat of a professional. Especially in baking, if it doesn't absolutely "wow" others, I never make it again, even though they generally like it. The thing is, I love making stuff for other people but if they discourage me even once, then I don't like to make stuff for them anymore. To me that sounds so childish. Am I alone?
